Bell's flowing lines evoke the natural rhythms of dancing couples, a motif she explored across multiple sculptures and materials. While this example is carved in wood, Bell worked extensively in terra-cotta, stone, marble, and alabaster. A celebrated artist and teacher, she exhibited at prestigious venues including the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and the National Academy of Design, winning a Gold Medal at the 1937 Paris International Exposition.Provenance
