Frieze Masters: Andrew Wyeth
Building on the success of the gallery's recent exhibitions Enter Andrew Wyeth (2024) and Andrew Wyeth: Helga Unframed (2024), and the announcement of the gallery’s fall 2025 exhibition Jamie Wyeth: Portraits of Andy Warhol and Rudolf Nureyev, Schoelkopf Gallery is honored to expand programming dedicated to the unmatched talent of the Wyeth family and return to Frieze Masters in London this October with a spotlight exhibition of the work of international paragon Andrew Wyeth.
The gallery's presentation includes more than 40 works by the artist drawn from three signature collections: the Estate of Frank Fowler, a private collection of Wyeth masterworks, and the Greenville County Museum of Art. The Greenville County Museum of Art (GCMA) is home to the world’s largest public collection of watercolors by iconic American artist Andrew Wyeth. Ranging from Federal portraits to contemporary abstractions, the GCMA’s acclaimed Southern Collection invites viewers to survey American art history through works with ties to the South.
Schoelkopf Gallery's presentation will bring together four of the artist's rare tempera paintings, a wideranging selection of watercolors, drybrush watercolors, and important drawings that examine the stirring emotional resonance of Wyeth’s work across portraiture and landscape, including a number of works that have never before been made available for public viewing. The works will be priced from $35,000 to $6,500,000 and will include a special focus on unframed drawings of the artist's muse Helga Testorf.
